Exciting News! We are in the running for a prestigious award!
We have been shortlisted in the UK’s newest care awards and are in the running for a prestigious national award.

Care Home Volunteers has been shortlisted in the Volunteer Team of the Year category at the Caring UK Awards, which recognise excellence and achievement within the care sector across the UK. The awards are organised by Script Events in conjunction with leading care industry magazine Caring UK, with support from headline sponsor Clydesdale/Yorkshire Bank.

Care Home Volunteers will now go through to the next stage of the judging process where they will be out to impress by showcasing first-hand the great work they do by befriending the many lonely older people in care in the town.

The winners will be revealed at a glittering awards ceremony at The Athena in Leicester on Thursday December 6 where the industry will celebrate its 2018 successes and achievements.

Norman Edwards, Chair of Care Home Volunteers, said “We have been overwhelmed by the response of people in supporting our cause, and by the enthusiastic participation of care homes in helping us make life better for their residents. We are really pleased to have been shortlisted for this award. It is a great recognition of the superb work done by our fantastic team of volunteers”
