International Day of Older Persons - 1st October

1st October has officially been declared International Day of Older Persons by the United Nation’s. There are currently over 700 million people aged over 60 with this predicted to be over 2 billion by 2050.

On this very special day, why not consider volunteering just a few hours a week in a local care home to support individual residents by providing social contact and friendship. One Care Home Volunteer who started recently said “I’m very much enjoying it, it’s very rewarding.”
