Covid-19 Update
Covid-19 update
We hope that you are keeping well in these exceptional circumstances.
Care Home Volunteers has been closely watching recent developments and the advice given by the Government to individuals and organisations.
The message is now very clear that all non-essential social contact should be avoided and in light of this CHV has advised that:
- volunteers should not visit care homes for the time being.
- all planned volunteer training, get togethers and meetings will need to be postponed.
We’re asking our volunteers to continue to keep in touch with care home residents during this difficult time if possible. This is even more important now that many people are confined to their rooms and staff contact is probably reduced. We have printed some new greeting cards for this purpose to let residents know they are being thought about.
Volunteers may also be able to keep in touch with residents by phone or Skype.
Please do all you can to support yourself, your family and your community where possible.
The Trustees and staff at Care Home Volunteers would like to thank the care home, NHS and all other community responders who are continuing to provide a fantastic service to those in their care.
You are all amazing.
