A hour a week can make all the difference
Care Home Volunteers are looking for people to join our team of volunteers to bring joy and companionship to older people living in care homes, especially those who don't have visits from friends or family. This helps these residents to keep in touch with the outside world, gives them an opportunity to remember the good times and improves their wellbeing and quality of life. Recent studies have shown that spending as little as one hour a week with individual residents getting to know them, their lives, hobbies and interests can make a huge difference to their wellbeing and our volunteers say how rewarding it is to bring such joy and happiness to people's lives.
